Downtown SF Partnership (DSFP), in collaboration with Noise Pop Industries, is excited to announce the 2026 return of Fridays on Front Street, San Francisco’s free after-work block party series taking over the Front Street Entertainment Zone on select Fridays throughout the summer and fall.
Following a landmark inaugural season that brought thousands of people to Downtown San Francisco and delivered meaningful sales boosts for participating small businesses along Front Street, Fridays on Front Street returns in 2026 with three new themed events designed to bring locals, workers, neighbors, and visitors together in the heart of downtown.
This year’s series kicks off on Friday, July 31 with Brat + Bratwurst Summer, a playful downtown celebration pairing brat-pop energy with summer cookout favorites, inspired by the Front Street Entertainment Zone’s own Bavarian beer hall, Schroeder’s.
The event arrives one week before music superstar Charli xcx headlines SF’s premier August music festival, just one week later on Friday, August 7, setting the stage for a special outdoor pre-party packed with music, fashion, food, drinks, and street-level festivities.
Fridays on Front Street will return for three admission-free events in 2026 featuring the following themes, with each event taking place from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Front Street between California and Sacramento streets:
- Friday, July 31: Brat + Bratwurst Summer
- Friday, August 21: Golden State Valkyries’ Game Night
- Friday, October 9 (Fleet Week): Yacht Rock Block Party
Created by the Downtown SF Partnership, Fridays on Front Street was designed to celebrate Downtown San Francisco while supporting the continued evolution of California’s first Entertainment Zone. During sanctioned events, guests 21+ can purchase alcoholic beverages from participating brick-and-mortar establishments and enjoy them outdoors within the designated event footprint.
At the heart of the experience are Front Street favorites Harrington’s Bar & Grill, Schroeder’s, and The Royal Exchange, with each locally-owned storefront helping to bring the block to life with food and drink specials.
For the July 31 opening event, the outdoor stage will feature DJ sets from Bapari, J Little, and Papa Xanny, with Evian and Kitty Litter serving as MCs throughout the evening.
The inaugural edition this July will also feature a full slate of interactive programming, including:
- Charli xcx Look-Alike Contest, with the winner receiving a pair of festival badges to Noise Pop Festival 2027
- Brat Green Bling Bar, presented by HappyCake Face Painting with custom neon lime green bling, face painting, and lots of glitter
- Local caricature artists
- Street games and beer pong
- Food and drink specials from participating bars
While admission-remains free, attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance for the latest news and updates. The July 31 RSVP is open and live.
Additional details for the August 21 edition and October 9 edition will be announced closer to each event date.
Fridays on Front Street is presented by the Downtown SF Partnership in partnership with Noise Pop Industries. The series continues DSFP’s broader work to reimagine Downtown San Francisco as a vibrant, active, and welcoming destination outside traditional office hours. Admission to each Friday's Front Street block party is free; no ticket is required.
