San Francisco AIDS Foundation

The San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery (SFAC Main Gallery) is the City’s contemporary exhibitions program, housed inside the War Memorial Veterans Building at 401 Van Ness Avenue, Suite 126. Established in 1970, the galleries present rotating contemporary art exhibitions and public programs highlighting Bay Area artists and civic dialogue; the Main Gallery reopened in its current Civic Center/Hayes Valley location following the Veterans Building renovation in 2015–2016. Steps from the Opera House and Davies Symphony Hall, it draws a cultural crowd and is walkable to Hayes Valley restaurants and bars.
