Ruth Williams Bayview Opera House is a historic 1888 theater and cultural center in Bayview–Hunters Point, regarded as San Francisco’s oldest surviving theater and renamed to honor community arts leader Ruth Williams. A major renovation completed in 2016 improved accessibility and added an outdoor stage; today the venue anchors Black arts programming and hosts concerts, dance, film and community events along the Third Street corridor.
