The William Randolph Hearst Greek Theatre, the longest-running outdoor amphitheater in the United States, is located on the UC Berkeley Campus in the foothills overlooking the San Francisco Bay, with spectacular views of The Campanile, The Golden Gate and Bay Bridges, Mount Tampalpais and San Francisco.
Operating continuously since 1903, and with Another Planet Entertainment as the exclusive promoter since 2004, the historic 8,500-capacity amphitheater has hosted a variety of entertainment and famous personalities throughout its 100+ year history, including Theodore Roosevelt, Sarah Bernhard, Luciano Pavarotti, the 14th Dalai Lama, Bob Dylan, The Talking Heads, The Grateful Dead, Green Day, Daft Punk, R.E.M., Pearl Jam, Van Morrison, Phish, James Taylor and Dave Matthews Band.
