Dance Mission Theater is a women-led, community-centered black box venue and dance school operated by Dance Brigade since 1998, presenting socially engaged dance, festivals, and classes in the Mission District. The main theater is a 140-person capacity black box with professional lighting and sound, housed at the corner of 24th and Mission directly across from the 24th St Mission BART station. Its programming reflects the neighborhood’s multicultural, Latinx-rooted Calle 24 corridor, serving artists of color, women, and queer communities.
