Los Vega is a traditional son jarocho group that has been dedicated to the performance, dissemination, and promotion of this musical genre for 20 years. Their music is characterized by the balance they achieve between their cultural roots and family heritage with musical quality and stage experience. They have participated in numerous cultural and artistic festivals in the country and abroad, in countries such as China, the United States, Canada, and Colombia. In 2018, they performed a show bringing together more than 20 renowned son jarocho artists to commemorate their 20th anniversary.
They have participated in various film recordings, one of them with the song "La Bruja" for the film "Frida," which was included in the soundtrack and was nominated for an Oscar in 2001. They were nominated for an Oscar in 2019 for the Lunas del Auditorio. That same year, they were invited to participate in the Tibetan Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall in New York, conducted by renowned composer Philip Glass.
Their most recent participation in Circulart Colombia included a live showcase. Throughout their career, they have released five albums.
