Charlie Musselwhite called Paul Steward's band Twice As Good the real deal blues, and the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian booked them for its Living Earth Festival. Steward, a Pomo guitarist from Elem Indian Colony, won 2010 honors from both the Native American Music Awards and the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame, and Blues Blast Magazine called his solo record World Champion highly recommended. He lectures in American Indian Studies at San Francisco State, where Joe Louis Walker earned his degrees. Walker, born in San Francisco on Christmas Day 1949, roomed with Mike Bloomfield and recorded for HighTone, Verve and Alligator before his 2013 Blues Hall of Fame induction. Two shows, one small room.
