Fronted by vocalist Wattie Buchan, the Exploited formed in the late 1970s and released landmark records including Punks Not Dead (1981) and Troops of Tomorrow (1982). They built a large cult following in the 1980s, influenced both punk and crossover-thrash scenes, and have continued touring internationally for decades despite frequent lineup changes and periodic controversies.
