Slap Dragon began as a half-joke acoustic funk project created by bassist Scott Mulvahill and vocalist Laura Berens. Their debut album, Mission Statement, was released May 29, 2026 on No Coincidence Records and received radio support from outlets such as Lightning 100. The band has been touring nationally, with recent shows including Eddie's Attic (May 1, 2026) and The Basement (May 2, 2026).
