Founded by mandolinist Silas Herman, the Tone Unit is a five-piece ensemble built around mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass and guitar that emphasizes original compositions and high-energy instrumental jams. Since forming, they have built momentum on the festival and regional touring circuit and received local press coverage for their live performances.
