Raúl Hernández co-founded a widely influential Mexican ensemble in 1968 and served as the group's bajo sexto player and occasional lead vocalist before leaving in the mid-1990s to pursue a solo career. Performing as 'El Tigre Solitario,' he has released solo recordings and remained active playing regional shows across Mexico and Latin America.
