Born Francisco Javier Barraza Rodríguez, he began his professional career performing in Sinaloan bands and launched a solo career in 1995 with the album Mis Canciones de Amor. He has been a consistent touring draw across Mexico and the United States, received industry recognitions such as a Premios Bandamax 'Show del Año' and a monitorLATINO special award for 25 years of career, and signed with Fonovisa Records in 2024.
