Lloyd Cole is an English singer-songwriter who first rose to prominence as frontman of Lloyd Cole and the Commotions; their debut album Rattlesnakes (1984) received strong critical notice. After the band split he established a long solo career, relocating to the US and releasing numerous albums, most recently On Pain (2023).
