Jake Johannsen, the legendary raconteur of weird stories is renowned for his dry, witty style. Johannsen made his comedic debut at San Francisco’s Cobbs Comedy Club during an open mike night. In 1986, he won the 11th Annual San Francisco Stand Up Comedian Competition. He has made over 40 appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, and more than ten appearances on The Tonight Show. His HBO special "This'll Take About An Hour" was voted one of the 50 Funniest Moments in Television History by TV Guide. His special "I Love You" premiered on Showtime, and he continues to tour top comedy clubs across the nation.
