Fred Wesley and the New JBs are led by veteran trombonist Fred Wesley, a longtime arranger, composer, and bandleader with a recording and touring career spanning from the 1960s to the present. Wesley formed his own group in the 1990s (now billed as Fred Wesley and the New JBs), has authored a memoir, and continues to record and perform internationally with the ensemble.
