Alisha Ann Itkin, known professionally as Alisha, rose to prominence in the mid-1980s club scene after the release of her self-titled debut. Her single "Baby Talk" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Club chart in December 1985; she subsequently released the albums Alisha (1985), Nightwalkin' (1987) and Bounce Back (1990) and continued issuing singles into the 1990s.
