Elizabeth Mitchell is an American singer-songwriter and a founding member of the band Ida who has been recording and performing since the early 1990s. She began releasing music for children in 1998 and was the first children's artist signed to Smithsonian Folkways in the 21st century; her album You Are My Little Bird received wide critical attention and she has earned multiple Grammy nominations. Mitchell often records and performs with her husband Daniel Littleton and their daughter Storey.
